 Anna is my almost three year old daughter who first appeared on DPC at 8 days old in what was my highest rated photo, until recently (still my #2 score).

She is an early riser, liking to get up between 6am and 7am. She is one of my three children ( a fourth is due in two weeks), she is my only girl, she is talkative, funny, loving, huggable, likes to go out with her dad (me).

I could have done a "nice" portrait, but this look, with the little smile and some left over milk on the lip is a much better "slice of life".

what a doll! the photo really captures the innocence and joy of childhood... not a care in the world, enjoying the morning. love the B&W for this... it really shows off that milk!

I think this makes a very nice portrait. It's certainly the informal, slice of life style, but kids are informal and this style really captures their youthful spirit. Well done! And her first photo is just gorgeous. She will be so proud of that picture when she's older.

I find this utterly beautiful! I see she hasn't lost her touch of making the world smile with her. Congratulations with the upcoming newest edition. Of course can't wait to see pics of that one too. And I think a slice of life is just wonderful.

She is absolutely beautiful! As for me? I much prefer real life, slice of life portraits of people than the kind where they try to look flawless and say "Cheese" :)
