 I need to go back to this garden and see if I can get a better shot of this. I'm not real happy with this shot.

Do go back! I think that the way you have composed this is terrific (except for the inclusion of the yellow flower); the lighting is just way too harsh. I absolutely love the texture of these petals and hope to see a redo. :)

gorgeous color, maybe just a tad oversharpened?? don't you hate when you think you've got a great shot & then you se it, and say, crapola, back to the garden I go...

my family is getting sick of me! :) I think they're going to rip out all the flowers & hide the camera just so "Mommy" is not on the computer all day long!!

It's hard to get good detail on this type of flower- you did well here. Gorgeous color but could benefit from ;less harsh light.

Love the center of this flower and the "hairyness" of the leaves/stems. Nice delicate lavender color. Would lend itself well to a tight shot macro. Lighting seems a bit harsh to me...Maybe some sort of filter when you go back out to shoot it???
