OK well it is day 1 of the MK4U festival today, the sun was out and this is a shot from the hill of the main stage.

Its a lovely event lots going on and a lovely relaxed atmosphere

I was listening to this singer and feeling very pleased with myself as I had managed to take (on a completely unrelated subject) a really good (I think) shot for the dream challenge

Was mulling over how nice I was finding the 50 day challenge (although I will only be able to post 38 because of holidays) and idly thinking how cool it would be if those particpating in it could have been magically transported to MK so we could have all shot together (although by the end of the day I probably would have been very grumpy as you'd have taken better shots than me)

Hope you are all enjoying this as much as I am and have had similarly happy days

I love the thought process as the day went along. I love music festivals like this, there are lots of them in Austin & it's so much fun to just sit on the grass & listen to music all day. This is a great shot of it, I like how some people are just listening to the music, others are up and talking & all just enjoying their day.

I really like all of the colors and interesting people to look at in this one. This would be a neat picture to have a hidden element for us to find... similar to "Where's Waldo?" :)

Add me to the list of people having a wonderful time with this challenge. Thanks for helping to make it so much fun. :)

Oh Phooey! We'd all band together to cheer you up, if only we could've been magically transported :) And this looks like such a fun time. Live music and enjoyable crowds are a nice mix. The only thing that might've made this image work a smidge better is if you had set the camera up on tripod and run in front with a grin and wave! :)

Ah no need to get grumpy - we all just have different perspectives when we look thru the viewfinder.

Is the guy up there singing with no instruments or band? What kind of music was he singing?

I'd say you did a nice job of catching a festive atmosphere - and I see there is no rain. Good reason to celebrate :)
