|Ever since they started the Rittenhouse Square Farmers Market a few years ago, I have been going and getting great flowers from the Amish family who sells their flowers there. They have marvelous flowers and many are of the type that you might see in a garden or growing wild but not at the florists. There are no roses, no gerbera daisies, no calla lilies. Instead they have Zinnias, Marigolds, Sweat Peas, Nigella, Cosmos, Poppies, Echinacea, Brown/black Eyed Susans. Just great stuff. Now I have seen some of these in florists shops but not with any great regularity. As the elder of the family explained one week, they pick everything in the morning and bring right into the market. I do note that they are not using a horse and buggy....hmmm....but that is just not practical for sure. They have an old van and it does the trick. Oh well....progress, ya' know.
Arranged seven blooms in three vases. Lighting is 4 clamp lamps, two over head on each side pointing down each with a 100w halogen bulb and two on each side pointing up each with a 120w halogen flood light. Tripod mounted, cable remote.
Post: Converted from raw in PSElements 3.0. Layer adjustemts for levels, brightness/contrast and hue/saturation. Spot editing was just a bit of dodging to the dark center of one flower (second from the right). Sharpen. Resize. Sharpen.
