the grain is not something I generally like. However, I think its growing on me the more I see this one. There is just enough that makes me see that it was done on purpose without looking to intentional. (if that made any sence at all!)
I would (for the hell of it) try to add a motion blur to the grain in the background to make it look like rain in motion. not sure how it would look though. lol

I like the grain in this, but then I haven't seen any other versions. It seems to suit the cloudy day feel this has to it. |

Yes, the grain works very well, especially after reading the story of the rain. I like the simplicity and gracefulness of this. |

Ah, the grainy version. Looks weird when you look at the other first. |

Grain could be softened a tad. I understand your dilemma with cropping out the background...best to keep it centered. |

I really enjoy the grain, and the lush greens, I can almost smell them. |

I like what image grain can do for an oof background, just this one is a little over the edge in my opinion. The tones and mood on this are quiet, peaceful, and rich. |

Would Neat Image ruin it?? I think I'd try it, and it would subdue some of the grain. I love the pop of white amidst all of those wonderful green hues. |

Not liking the grain on it but I understand the reason for it. |

Very simple and elegant. I'm not sure I like the grain on this shot. |

actually, it's funny you say this Jeannie, b/c I feel the same way. I didn't want to crop out the curve of the leaf on the left..so I pretty much kept it as I saw it, and took the littlest bit from the top and the right (which did shorten that leaf line a bit, but I could live with it!) Thanks~Anni

Processing looks good to me. I might crop more so it's not so centered ... off the right, I think, so the point of the flower heads more or less towards the corner of the crop. |
