I will be planting this in my gardens. I love the purples and its unusual shapes. I think the stalky thing on the left is distracting. I would have offset the flower to the left side of the image and allow the right to show the garden scene. |

This flower would be well worth going back to photograph again, perhaps at a different time of day to get more differentiation in the light (shadows and highlights) to showcase it better. |

This looks like a very interesting flower. But I'm having a hard time appreciating it because of the other distractions. Like Lynnmarie said, a different angle or maybe cut one and put it somewhere else by itself (if you can). |

A vertical crop is a good choice to showcase these flower spikes, but perhaps from a slightly different POV. I find it difficult to distinguish the front one from the two that are right behind. Maybe find a single one with a more shallow DOF so that the background does not detract. |
