I will be planting this in my gardens. I love the purples and its unusual shapes. I think the stalky thing on the left is distracting. I would have offset the flower to the left side of the image and allow the right to show the garden scene.

This flower would be well worth going back to photograph again, perhaps at a different time of day to get more differentiation in the light (shadows and highlights) to showcase it better.

This looks like a very interesting flower. But I'm having a hard time appreciating it because of the other distractions. Like Lynnmarie said, a different angle or maybe cut one and put it somewhere else by itself (if you can).

A vertical crop is a good choice to showcase these flower spikes, but perhaps from a slightly different POV. I find it difficult to distinguish the front one from the two that are right behind. Maybe find a single one with a more shallow DOF so that the background does not detract.
