The look on the kids faces say "Oh no, there he goes again"!

***From the Critique Club***

First Impression - the most important one:
Creative, and Hilarious! I like how no one is moving to help you out! it makes the image that much funnier. Great family portrait.
Composition:
It may just be the light on the side of the picture but I find the picture is almost a little on the busy side. The girl on sitting on the swing looks kind of bored here. Maybe just upset at the guy who fell. I would have liked to see a good genuine, laugh out of the boy in the picture, but they are hard to pull off, It's better this way then if he looked fake laughing. Also I like how the picture is almost framed by the swing set itself.
Subject:
I like how the how the faces all point my eyes straight to the action. It feels like they get there just in time as not to miss the action! oh its also great to see all bare feet, adds to the fun of the picture!
Technical (Colour, focus, and light):
I find the image a little dark, and the blare of sunshine on the right take away from the picture, but aside from moving the play set, or the sun I guess there isn't much that could be done here. a fill flash would have brightened up the image a bit.
Artistic:
Like I said earlier creative for sure!
To grow its vote?:
I'm not sure how well the humorous pictures tend to do in voting, and I can see how ppl might call it out as a snap shot. I think it is neither, and really like the picture. however I probably would vote it much higher then it got.
Summary:
Even though the image looks set up after examining the picture, it doesn't take away at all from the picture and you wouldn't even think about it. Overall fun, and creative. I like it, and it was fun to review. sorry If I couldn't give you much helpful insight. the 2 main things I recommend are: try fill flash outside, and watch the sun bursting in on the side. Great image and you called the vote!

Hey it beats your average keep up the good work. PS- I really liked âclosed for remodeling also!â

Happy shooting, CBoydrun!

Oh you were right Jason. This should have scored much higher! What a cute idea for this challenge. What a bunch of unappreciative voters :)

I love this tableau. A great diagonal composition highlights the dramatic victim oppressed beneath the cold gazes of his onlookers, which run from indifference to bemusement to downright condemnation. The "missing link" here is empathy. This has all the effectiveness of a scalvert set up, but much more realism, even though we know it isn't real.

Funny, even though I'm a dad. ;)

The utter lack of interest in those kids almost makes this shot.
