Classic use of complementary colors to enhance each other...both the blue and the orange appear more intense when paired.

I agree with what the others have already said and can't really think of anything to add.

I agree with cropping out the background. There are to many elements that are just not that interesting. If there was some drama in the sky, I might leave it.

I like the lines of the flowers and grasses, not the buildings, I'd crop those out like others have said. You might want to try this in black and white or some type of toning. Sometimes if I get colors I just can't (or am too lazy to try) to get right, I just duotone and then it looks like it's intentional!

Nice orange flowers. They are a little lost within the scenery. I would suggest a closer crop to remove some of the foreground greenery and most of the sky. If you like the backgorund to include the sky and buildings, you might consider adding in a gradient fill layer to add a bit of colour to the sky and sort of blur the buildings a bit.

I like the water in the background. The building and sky really do not add to the composition, so I might crop those out. The flowers provide a nice spot of color, but need to be brightened to bring that out more.

try cropping out the sky, and focusing on the flowers & water. another trick may be to use a warming filter, or circular polarizer. for this image, I think all the bg w/the bldg takes away from the pretty blooms, where the little dock & the water actually fit the scene & work well with the rustic nature of daylilies, so a crop could work well here to enhance your focal point as well eliminate the bleached out sky...

ok, there's my 2cents for today :)

I like the setting. Focus seems off a bit.
