All foxtail lilies are similar w a few basic characteristics, a compact root, strap-shaped leaves, and hundreds of small individual flowers.. Few plants are as impressive as a foxtail lily in flower.
The sm flowers are iridescent..
Once planted the bulb will last 10 to 15yrs w/o division...

Edit; levels, curves, usm, shear

P.s. It is incredibly tall .. Perhaps not depicted well enuf to do it justice..

The variety of different flowers in this side challenge is amazing. Thanks for sharing another one that I have never before seen. Love the composition of your shot, maybe could use a bit more pop with upping the brightness/contrast or try a levels adjustment.

I'd love to see this in scale to see actually how big it is, have never seen one. LIke the way the flower enters the shot and the graceful bend at the end of the branch.

Wonderful composition to show off all those little flowers. Nice sharp details, maybe increase the brightness/contrast a bit more. Your info is appreciated.

Nice detail; almost feels like a time lapse stopped in mid-sequence.

My favorite thing about these long spike flowers, like foxtail and red hot poker, is the way the florets mature in levels. The bottom will be finished while the middle is in bloom and the top not opened yet.

The way they bloom makes them last for a long time and b/c of that really shot this from so many different perspectives. finally just decided this is it..C'est Tout~
