Greetings from the Critique Club!
Great idea for this challenge. Without your description I would have sworn this was a shot of old train tracks.
Previous comments spoke about the contrast and the noise. I actually like it this way. The high contrast and noise gives its an old feeling and really helps to establish a mood.
Composition? I imagine that there is water just outside the frame of your shot so your options were likely limited if you wanted to keep it out of the shot. Again, I like it the way it is.
Overall? Really excellent entry. Keep up the good work. |

Good feel to this, I love the darkness to go along with the title. Also, glad to see a non-traditional compostion to this subject. |

I'm not keen on the editing on this, as it's gone a bit too grainy and contrasty. |

I wonder if the point at which those rails vanish mightn't have been slightly more strongly placed in frame? The feeling is that you lead the eye out of frame, rather than capturing the attention. I like the handling of light, and the sense of shape. |
