I'm really not a fan of grain except in cases like this one where its obviously intentional and works so well. Would like to see a little more on top of the second rose but then again I think may have made the right choice after looking at lynmarie's comment about the third rose.

It looks like there might be three roses in this picture - can't really tell for sure, but I think this would be better without that third one in the background. Good lighting on top of the roses helps keep the picture from being too monotone.
