 The image was converted several times from RAW and used to balance the lighting out. The background was darkened and some hot spots from it were removed to bring out the face. Auto levels cropped, resized, sharpened and saved in photoshop.

Great composition and sharpness and clarity are right on. I think the red in his skin tone is a little strong but its still a great shot. Nice work.

excellent focus and dof. lighting is great (highlights in his hair). hmmm some weird blur on his left shoulder

Great shot, good DOF and use of available light. I like how his head is tilted and his eyes seem to stare right into the soul. Interesting hairdo! 8

Good play of light and well exposed. A model with an interesting face - makes for a good portrait that holds my attention. Looks like he may be suffering from a bit of hay-fever - the rather red eyes are slightly disconcerting, but at the same time add to the rugged out door look and make the photo interesting.

Earnest and straightforward. Great eyes. Not a "pretty" shot, so the shallow voters might not see it as they should, but I think it's great. Terrific DOF and wonderful facial detail.
