Overgrown and underlit... Just a touch of fill light would have done wonders!

Too much shadow cast on the sign. |

Egads, you have some nasty shadows.
On the plus side, nice background and a cool vine growning up the sign.

Off-centre composition would have made this more pleasing - and I feel that I should read some humour into this, but I'm not sure where.
Perhaps, if the overgrowth/delapidation is the emphasis here, then you should have taken it closer up, viewed from the ground, and lost the distracting context of lake and houses. |

Not bad, but IMHO there ist some space for improvement too. It could have been more interesting with an off-centered position of the roadsign. By using another aparture (e.g. F 2.0), the background could have been more unsharp and less distracting. Nevertheless good luck for the challenge! |

Great idea but the shadows are more distracting than artistic, I think. |

Fill flash would have helped here to see the sign better |

different composition, better lighting situation, would make this a very interesting photo. I like how the plants are taking over the sign. |

I guess you are using the shadow to accentuate the vines growing on the sign. Not sure if it would work better with more sunlight. |

Shadows on sign make it difficult to read, but interesting. |

to many shadows on the sign, makes it dark and hard to see. |
