 My wife Terri and son Conor. Perhaps not a traditional portrait but the subject matter speaks to me! The day was overcast and we were just playing around really. I was taking some shots with a mind to see what sort of "poses" worked and then was going to do it properly on Sunday. The weather was too bad on Sunday to do it so I was stuck with the Saturday shots where the background isn't what I wanted.

I used my 50mm 1.8 lens for this and I must say I like the results of this lens but it is frustrating having to step back so far to get the shot I want in the frame...I guess this is my first step down the path towards one of those fancy lenses with the red ring on them.

Oh, what a BEAUTIFUL PHOTO! You have done such an amazing job of capturing the sparkle of intense love in both of their eyes.

And whose heart wouldn't melt right out of their body seeing that beautiful smile on a baby that cute!

This photograph moved me. Great composition, you filled the frame, isolated the subjects... I can almost see the connection between their eyes. The image could be a bit warmer though. Good stuff!

nice capture of expression but I would say its more or a snapshot than a portrait. a portrait being a posed representation of a person
