Wow, I haven't been to one of these things in years. Thanks for bringing back the memories. I like the skewed perspective of the superwide lens for this shot. |

Great shot, it looks like the set of a movie, I love the beautiful sunset in the background! |

Very pretty sky, love all the booths, this one makes me smile! I know what you mean about the crop, I have that Sigma 10-20mm too and it breaks my heart to crop many of the shots... :-) But this square crop looks good too! |

Getting elephant ears? Like the plants? I don't really know how that fits into a carnival. Either way, I like he wide angle of this. Really puts the viewer there. |

Beautiful time of day for such festive lights. Good job on the exposure. The roads a little drab, it would be nice to have an object of interest in the foreground with the booths, etc., as backdrop.
I'm jealous of your wide lens -- another reason to think about getting a DSLR. I agree, cropping is a shame in this case. You might also try resizing without keeping the correct aspect ratio, though you'd end up with a mighty distorted photo.
PS: I looked up "Elephant Ears" -- it's fried dough, right? I only knew the flora and fauna varieties. |

The focus is interesting. Must be a wide-angle lens? (I have not really used them but I am assuming because of the slant of the booth on the left.)
This reminds me of the county fair which will be happening here next month. The carnies don't look very busy lol. |

This is one reason I love America... what a beautiful slice of Americana and summer. Yes, sometimes that square crop does not work the best, but it is nice to follow the "rules", since there are really only 4 or so. |

ahhhh, summer carnival at (almost) dusk... soon the fireflies will appear! i like the booths all lined up on the edges working their way toward the center of the image and the vanishing point. great sky! |

Super processing. You really have caught the feeling of long summer twilights. The carnival is a nice extra. |
