Clear focus. Looking for the child to look like she's enjoying her apple... here she looks distracted by something or someone and could care less about the apple! ;) Nice catch lights in the eyes. |

Very nice portrai, and even though it isn't terrible clear what she's eating, I believe it is an apple. Nice job. Good luck in the callenge. Gracious aka Grayce |

Is that a potato? A little more showing would have met the challenge better. |

This is cute kid shot. I think the challenge value is a little limited since you can barely see the apple, and the girl is clearly the focus of the shot. The background is also a little dark, and the subject is a little light so the contrast isn't great. 3. |

i really like the porcelain tone of this shot. This baby looks freshly awakened and slightly zoned. I like the placement of her hands on the fruit. All the lines in the picture, her hands, the roundness of the back of the chair...the composition of the shot all lead to her eyes.Sweet shot. (7) ~mcmurma |

Fantastic portrait. Some may say the colour is a bit washed out, but I happen to like the natural effect within the composition; it allows the entire image to blend well and highlights the child's features to perfection. I can't knock this shot at all, and the only possible suggestion to improve the shot could also ruin it; but a huge red apple to add contrast may have looked great ΓΆ€“ but it may not. I'll leave that one for you to decide. Great shot (9) |

This is a cute shot... the catch light in her eyes is very nice also... this shot is definitely a keeper. I also like the fact that she is distracted from the camera and not looking at it directly. That adds quite a bit of impact to this photo. As for meeting the challenge, it does becuase i can see the fruit. Meeting the challenge effectively? I would like to see more fruit or more of the fruit that exists in this photo. The fruit/veggie concept could be stronger if the fruit/veggie was displayed in a unique way. I don't use the 'word' anymore, but I expected to see more shots similar to this in the challenge, and this is a nicely done version of the concept. - jmsetzler |

Doesn't really fit the challenge. One can't really see what fruit she's eating. |

Did you pull most of the color on purpose? Seems somewhere between black and white/sepia/color photo. 7 Swash |

The fruit isn't 'center stage' enough in this photo - not vivid enough. |

Pretty little girl and nice idea. I would have liked it better if I could have seen more of the apple |

I like the coloration although I wish the apple was a bright red one standing out though. |

Love the tint...did you do that using editing software or did you use some kind of setting on your camera? |
