 It's always nice to make new friends...

So, I found four sheets of card stock paper to make this piece for the paper challenge. I hope that it's close enough in the category to make an impact.

For lighting, I used a 1000 watt light purchased from a hardware store (tungsten lamp). Held the light next to the paper cutouts to create the shadow and give them some depth.
I used my coffee table covered with a vellux blanket for the background.

I wasn't sure I was going to enter until I thought of the title...then I was sure I HAD to enter.

Editing was fairly simple. Adjusted curves, cropped, resized, then saved for web.

they are SO cooperative, aren't they?? Good job! Like the perspective. The lighting could have been a bit better, but still liking the concept.

Cool idea. It's a bit like a book that I read my kids. :) The white balance is a lot on the blue side though.

cool! if you had cut out the figure (that is on paper and holding hands with the standing one) a bit more and raised it, the shadow effect could have increased photo's impact a lot more. i like this one too though.

There are a few photos wiht the idea of "paper people" in this challenge; of all of them I like this the most.
