First Impression - the most important one:
Simple, Subtle, great. I like it.
Composition:
Great idea, it's not a piece that I would hang on my wall... but it fits the challenge great. I did notice, that one link is turned going the other way, maybe that is to try and show all the chains are connected, but that pulls my attention away from the missing link. I think if you left them all going one way, we would have made the connection that they are all connected and it would have made the missing link a stronger pull of our attention.
Subject:
Clever idea, but the one problem I have in this picture is that it is missing something that really draws my eyes to it. I love the title, it is very fitting, and I guess as you put it the absence of the link, draws my attention. I guess what I'm trying to say is personally, the grey chains, although brilliantly subtle, don't have enough draw to make me really say "WOW".
Technical (Colour, focus, and light):
I love the colour, and the lighting, they are perfect for this picture. The chains also have great texture
Artistic:
It is very apparent that you have an artistic eye, and that you can see like a photographer should. I really like the artistic side of this image; I think itâs creative and almost abstract.
To grow its vote?:
The only way I can think of to grow this pictures vote is, well first turn the sideways link to go the same direction as all the rest. Then try and add something to the image to draw our eyes a little more, to make the missing link stand out a little bit more. I'm not sure how you would go about doing that, but itâs a suggestion.
Summary:
I like it. it could be made stronger, but I think you have a great eye.
Great job on one of your best finishes! P.S. I really like your picture âsharing your precious with me!?!â
Happy shooting, CBoydrun.
