This is wonderful. I like the BG's sweep to the top and right side. The butterfly facing away from the expanse of BG, makes me concentrate more on the beautiful wing's soft colors. Nice. |

I'm not sure i wouldn't prefer a crop that shows both thistles, actually. The contrast between dead and live thistles, the fact that the flutterby's focusing on the live one, gives a story line to the image. Plus you have a really nice BG there, may's well use it to advantage. Try some vignetting to focus it in if you do a wider crop. |

sweet! how did you get that little butterfly to have those pink makrings & then land so perfectly timed on this lovely thistle!!

Good composition with this - the square crop with the thistle off center works really well. |
