 This was taken at his work in the middle of the afternoon in Phoenix (ie: 115 degrees!). He's a detailer for a dealership. Fully legal and working hard to support his family. I love the debth of the lines on his face, yet there is such softness just below the surface.

More sharpness and more visible eyes (a little lighter maybe) would help this picture.

Sam looks as though he would make a good model, and you have obviously made him feel at ease. For the next time, pay greater attention to what is behind your subject - sadly, those lights really are a great distraction.
