 i was taking pictures at a Durham Bulls game for sports assignment and noticed this kid with his team waiting to run out on the field with the minor league guys for the national anthem. he was the only one on the team who noticed me while i took about nine different shots.

To me this is an unusually good picture of a child subject - a candid portrait, well-composed and not contrived, and without the feeling that Mommy or Daddy has coaxed the kid to look "cute". Well done!

I love the crop and composition on this and the little guy's expression is awesome. His skin seems a bit smooth, maybe it's just naturally like that (which is cool), but if you used noise reduction, it may have been a touch too much.
