This is the shot I'd wanted to take yesterday, but I missed it. This is taken out of the train window on the way to work. The yellow posts hold the landing lights for the approach to Brussels airport (BRU) and the train tracks rather neatly go through the middle of them.

My original thought was to take a shot directly down the line of the posts, so they would be seen to just get smaller, but stay inside the frame of the first posts. I did actually get that shot, but it just doesn't look as good as this one. I like the feeling of being drawn down the line.

It actually worked out better that I missed the shot yesterday, the light was much more interesting today. (this is completely as shot apart from the crop)

Wonderful image. I'm amazed you were able to get such a good composition from a moving train.

That's a great angle, I really like the dissapering poles as they grow out of sight. Aweosme shot especially taken from a moving vehicle!

really like the POV you ended up selecting...It feels like an army of meccano approaching. Very well offset by the skies and the green crops as well

Nice job

You did this from a moving train? This is awesome. I love the perspective. The yellow is a great contrast to the dark moody sky.

This has a weird surreal feel to it. The posts just seem completely out of place. I like that the little blocks on the front set line up with the horizon.

This is a great shot for a lot of reasons. You've captured the perspective well, but what I really like are the lines - they're everywhere. Even the "stagger" in the posts in the foreground line up well with the horizon. There's good contrast between the yellow and dark sky. I bet this would look awesome with some HDR/tonemapping. Not a ton, but just enough to bring out the details in the clouds.

Those posts are amazing -- they are so transparent they don't look real. They look like you superimposed them on the shot. Nice work.

amazing shot .. the colours are so dramatic even without those yellow posts ... the dark ominous clouds contrasting with the amazing green lush grass and the brown looking paddocks ... and then those bright yellow posts ... an excellent photograph .. i can see this in a challenge doing really really well .. and no processing that's even more amazing .. :)

That looks awesome! Looks fake almost, like big legos or something just placed there. Colors are great.

You're in Belgium? Quelle surprise! Clearly, I have not been paying attention. I was there a lot of times when I still lived in Germland.

Your photo - totally cool. Even in the thumb it looked amazing. Great eye and catch. Colors are outstanding.

Outstanding image! Love the repeating yellow towers going out into the distance of course, but also the colors of the scene are excellent. I like how the compressed towers are all in the gold field, while the close towers are the only ones in the green field. Great sky too!

Very nice perspective with the receding towers. Beautiful (and natural) colors with the sunlit foreground against the darkened sky. Excellent, especially considering it was taken presumbably through windowglass of a moving train.
