Of course you had to crop their heads otherwise you wouldn't have captured the older girl's protective grasp of her sister's hand or the defiant hand on hip pose (implied by the position of her head and shoulder) of the younger girl. Lovely! I want to see more like this on DPC. |

I don't konw what I liked about this photo, but it was in my top 5. Great shot, other than the fact, that a few heards are trimmed from the top. |

Impressive candid photo with so many different facial expressions and gestures of a family portrait. I really love the intensity of the facial expression of the girl in the middle. Composition is equally impressive and I also love how you fit in to the right upper corner the boy. B&W is perfect for this shot and exposure is excellent. A classic! Very well done. |

This is not the greatest quality of photo. It is nicely composed and very topic appropriate. It's cutting off their heads though and it isn't super clear. This has a ton of potential to be a great shot, just not this one. |

Nice photojournalistic picture. I like the looks each of the children have. The tones are good as well as the exposure. The composition could have been moved over a little to the right. The compression artifacts detracts a bit from the power of the picture. |

Bravo! You've captured the spirit of NG precisely, imo. It's a wee bit unfocused but in some way that seems to add to the ambience. Excellent entry. |

Amazing. The kind that would appear in National Geographic. Your choice of BW is very appropriate. A little sharper perhaps |

Great idea but it looks like there's some bad artifacting in that shot. It's either that or grain. You might try not optimizing it quite as much when you save. |
