 This birdhouse was hanging over the door of an old coastal fishing shanty. It has been used in the past since I could see grass through the hole and there's also the old net lines dropped over the stoop.

I thought that birdhouses and/or bird nests would make an interesting National Geographic article since each species has it's own nest building technqiue and some also adapt to human offerings such as this birdhouse.

I have no idea how this is going to go over with the voters, but I like this image quite a bit. Not a ribbon winner, but still pretty good...

The biggest edit feature that I took advantage of for this challenge was repairing keystoning of the moudling running above the birdhouse roof and darkening the slightly overexposed seashell.

nice textures. would possibly make a nice b&w. not sure of the NG relevance.

Clever and creative. Yellow rust (?) adds a punch of color. Your image could be tied tighter to the theme by giving me more in the title on where/who vs. a well-done artistic shot.
