Photographed in RAW. Tuned the white balance adjustment to "Tungsten" to allow for the different colors of the lights to come out right, and tuned the picture style to "portrait".

I converted the photo several time to Photoshop to get even lighting were I wanted it.
The contrast was at its lowest to allow for all the light and reflections to show.

In Photoshop I created a new layer, and increased the contrast in the new layer, then allowed some transparency in the top layer; a process meant to give the colors more richness.

Finally, I did auto color correction and auto levels. Cropped, resized, sharpened and saved for web.

Without using the appropriate white balance "Tungston" non of the colorful reflections in the Nile and the city of Cairo would have showed.

Horizon looks titled. Nobody is on the boat to give the image vibrance. did they all slide off the screen and land on my desk from the crookedness?

Sorry, but in a free study with advanced you should fix items like this.

4.

Edit to add:
After looking at the photo again, and this time in more detail than before as I was told maybe my first assessment was inacurate through a PM, I see there are more flaws than I had originally seen. The image is very noisey. Especially around the lights on the bridge. Composition could use some work. The boat is the main subject, but it has been cut off form the rest of the photo.

After further review I see that my 4 was too generous. Therefore I would vote this a 3. But since my initial comment was met with an insult by PM, I will vote how my heart really feels about this photo. 1!

Well the emails over my comment continue.....this is what I received from Mr. Highnooner:

Looool I guessed you right. I think you are having too much dog soup in SK

What a racist comment to make. You don't see me calling you a terrorist because you live in the middle east. Why would you think I eat dog soup?
