I really like the "moody" effect, it works well with this shot. Austin just passed smoking laws like that about a year or so ago & there's always people outside getting their fix. |

I was in Tiburon once, back in 1988 or so. Hard to believe it was so long ago now. I still recall sitting in an outdoor cafe late one afternoon. I was amazed at the size of the seagulls. And then the fog came down out of the hills in what seemed to me a very menacing way!
What I like about this photo is the lone woman. She is grainy and in shadow yet she is a strong presence. Her face blends with the rock, but then the way the light hits her legs is very strong. |

I think the "graininess" of the ISO 1600 works well for this shot. Really reminds me of some shots I've seen taken with high ISO film. |

Your camera handles ISO 1600 really well! My photos get way too noisy at this level. I like this as a moody shot. Especially with the woman sitting in the front who seems lost in thought. |

You know, I really like this shot. It looks like a sketch by a master artist. The oof totally makes this image. A bit more dodging on the girl would make her stand out a bit better. She kind of falls into the shadows. But a really nice shot. |

I really like the feel of this image. Great composition. I like that she doesn't appear to notice you, either ;) great candid. |

You say it is not as sharp as you would have liked it but I have to be honest and say that I think that I prefer the moody feel that you have created
It kinda feels quite harsh and disconnected and certainlly as if you are seeing something that maybe you want to hurry on by |
