wow i screwed up. i guess i didn't understand the rules for this challenge: "However, the face of the emotive subject should NOT be the main focus of your photo." I figured the person doing the robot was the main focus...and the reaction from the other person off to the side was the emotive subject. er something like that.

you're one of few people who actually captured some genuine emotion, and you get the brown ribbon. sheesh. |

The face is a major element conveying emotion, contrary to the challenge's title and guidelines.
This looks like nothing more than a quick snapshot at the bar. |

don't really see how this applies to the theme

I feel like this shot captures the emotion of the girl laughing, rather than the emotion of the "faceless" girl. |

This looks like another night on the town that anyone could have shot - where was the photography? |

Nice fun image but a little too much distraction around the lady - Some cropping off the top and bottom would help. |

Never go to a bar with a camera. Maybe the title should have been 'Doing the "COPD" for a friend' |

I think most of the emotion is conveyed in the friend's face... Still, pretty funny. =) |

This is what many photographers would call a 'snapshot'. This isn't necessarily a bad thing. It just means that the shot probably will not have much meaning or feeling to anyone who doesn't know the subjects of the shot...

this looks like a snapshot and does not meet challenge of faceless emotions |

snapshots of your colleagues does not count |

The only emotion in this picture is a result of the faces... |
|
|

Only emotion i see is not faceless.... |

And the emotion is, what? Since the woman on the right is showing her emotions through her face, and I can't get anything from the woman on the right's body language, this shot doesn't meet the challenge for me. |

Wow I'm impresed a public place where you still can smoke. |

Your flash is too bright which makes this look more like a snapshot in the bar...especially since you have the guys in the background. Your foocus for this shot has become the woman laughing (with the face). You did htis in two ways....one by covering only one girl with her hair...the other woman became the only thing that was recognizable and that is where your eyes drift to. Secondly, you placed her on the let third of the photo....which is one of your focus points.
Other things to note is that the beer bottles (especially the one right in front, distract from the photo and so does the cup on the right. |

This doesn't fit the faceless category very well. The shot also needs a lot of composition work. The foreground and the background are too distracting. |

great capture of emotion on the woman's face - but the flash makes this look too much like a quick snapshot. |
