this balloon is so very vibrant and in such sharp focus with it's colors against the beautiful sky...I really like the contrast in your picture...excellent composition

Beautiful colors here, and good use of thirds. The sky is big and imposing which makes the balloon look almost fragile against it. A bit sharper focus would have helped, but this seems like it would have been a challenge to capture perfectly.

A little on the "soft" side, but this still scored a 7 from me during the challenge. Terrific color tones and crop (great use of neg space).

I'm going to a hot air balloon festival next weekend in central Illinois -- I hope I can capture an image as good as this! I notice some banding in the clouds (to the lower left of the balloon) which are probably a result of the resizing/post processing, but overall it's a strong image.

Well, aren't we in a snit. I can't believe you feel this way about this wonderfully minimalist image. Admittedly the focus was a tad off, but a 6 year old? Come on.

nice composition - but i notice some digital artifacts in the clouds (color swirls in green and rose colors) that could use fixing
