 I'm not expecting this to do that well especially in a Free Study, but I always wanted to do a lighting bolt shot so when we had a storm here in Warsaw a few days ago, I gave it a shot with my new Nikon D200. NO skill involved, just patience and luck.

yes, you lucky person, thats the way it is done, and you were nice and close! reminds me of the storms I used to run around in with a metal tripod and a plastic bag over the camera. you are under an overhang, and that is much better (safer too).

Nice capture and colours. I find myself wondering what it would look like without the big black patch on the left, though. Perhaps a crop is in order. 6
