For some reason it just doesn't seem clean enough. Maybe the spider being center frame and small just distracts and makes him blend in to much. No real emotional value for me.

not afraid of spiders, but for some this is the picture of extreme. I think it would be scarier for some and in my case more interesting closer up. I'd like to get a closer look as its spots.

Somehow this fails to communicate emotion at all, let alone extreme emotion. But then, I don't suffer from extreme arachnophobia.

Not sure if I should feel an emotion of fear, or see the intricate work. I would recomend a clearer message. still wonderfully taken,great detail,and depth. I might take her a little off center as well. good luck

I'm really lost on how this portrays an emotion. Even the title doesn't help.

That said, I think it would help the composition to crop in quite tightly around the spider.
