You are absolutely right about how the flower looks like an extended hand with a beautiful butterfly held gracefully there.
The one thing that just hit me hard (in a good way) is the color of the center of the flower and the butterfly being so close and really working together along with the same color in the background (very subtly).
Edit: me too (liking the color version better).

| I definately prefer the color version of this. BG is lovely in this shot. Great detail on the flutterby. |

| Really good composition. Love the color and sharpness of the petals on the right, and the position of the butterfly is great! (Bokeh is nice, too.) |
