Nice smoke shot. I don't like much the too-diagonal composition with square crop. divides the frame in two.. I would use one corner and let the smoke go to one edge rather than the opposite corner

I really like this shot but i'm not sure that it falls into the still life category. The smoke is beautifully captured and the focus is pin sharp. If the challenge had been anything other than 'still' life I would have given this shot double figures. As it is I feel I can only give it 8

Phenomenal shot. Would love to know how you captured this. I don't think necessarily fits the "Still Life" concept as it suggests quite a lot of movement.

That is one beautiful ribbon of smoke. I'm torn on whether or not this really qualifies as still life, though I guess you could argue a case for it, so I'm just going to vote on merit of photo. 8.

if there is something that isn't still at all, it is smoke, it exists only through its motion, it can never be arranged but always shows random forms
