Ouch. This was one of my favorites. It's still a great shot, but take the DQ as the learning experience that it is. You're far from the first person who wasn't quite sure how the rules worked and got DQd, so no one will think less of you.
Essentially, basic editing means absolutely no selections. Just stay away from the lasso, marquee, dodge, burn, and anything else where you're tweaking individual pixels.
You can do all of those things in advanced editing, though, which is one advantage of paying the membership fee.
I look forward to seeing more of your creative work! :) |

So well executed. A shame it didn't fit in the basic editing rules. But really a great take on the challenge theme, and a great photo. |

Nice creativity behind this image.
I re-saw it , leaving the title aside, and found out they actually look sad.!! Good job (provided the editting is legal).
Not crazy about the border though, and..unfortunately, you did not take full advantage of the 640 px size limit. |

Awesome work. Very creative, nice work in setting this one up. Not sure what the bottom of the left banana is representing :) but love the 'hand over the shoulder' creation. Good background/setting and lighting. 10 and I will have to consider giving up membership if this doesn't hit on a ribbon. |

Amazingly creative. Really captures the emotion here, and one of the few pictures that actually did capture any kind of emotion. Great lighting, love the scars on the bananas. I gave this a 10. The only thing I would suggest is a simpler border, it's a tad distracting. I totally would buy this print! |

Do I think this image shows "Extreme Emotion": Somewhat :) Awesome pic though, very original, here's an 8 (-1 for the border). |

Poor things!
Actually with the evening colour theme and the 'window cast light' it lifts the mood of this picture quite a lot. |

I think I would have liked it more without the frame, but I would still be able to see the saddness in your Bananas either way. Crisp and nice colors. Very good use of fruit to show extreme emotion. |

good idea and good realization, perhaps a bit of space on the top was a better composition. I don't sure that the big frame work. 7 |

i must admit at first glance i did not like this shot...but it grows on me, and i have already seen at least 15 shots that do not convey an emotion at all. i am givin this a 10 for being both well shot and out of the box as we like to say |
