***From the Critique Club***
First Impression - the most important one:
Definitely extreme. A little too much on the dark side for me personally, but definitely matches the challenge!
Composition:
I like the crop and composition of the picture, i think cutting out a bit more of the face (as i mention later) and focusing a little more on the pills would add some wow to this picture.
Subject:
I think one thing I should point out, is that for me anyways a lot of the emotion comes from the face. And that’s not supposed to be for this challenge. I’m not sure if her sitting in the sink is the best location for the shot but it works and it needed to be by a mirror.
Technical (Colour, focus, and light):
I have to agree with the comments about the lighting, It is a little on the dark side, even for the nature of the picture, but the colours sort of run together. the picture is lacking the strong contrast.
Artistic:
I think maybe some stronger contrast of colours could add to the artistic element, just to make sure the picture isn't washed out. The model did great though.
To grow its vote?:
It’s a shame to say but I think for the most part people like lighter images, not to say that they are better. I think for me the main issue was as follows:
The lighting, the colours, and the face gives off so much of the emotion.
Summary:
Good picture, good job taking the picture, but watch out for lighting, and the things I've just mentioned.
This image was below your average, but keep on shooting and keep having fun don’t be discouraged. You’ll get more up there with “never ending shopping list” soon. Ps I really like that picture.
Happy shooting, CBoydrun.

The face is a major element conveying emotion, contrary to the challenge's title and guidelines. |

I like the position and angle of the model, but the lighting, and color are off for me. There doesn't seem to be any real place to draw your eye. |

You're far too young with exciting things ahead to be thinking like this! Very effective - sepia type of look. |

Tells a story, which is good. Too much face for a "faceless" challenge. Also work on lighting. |

I like the composition with the partially reflected face a lot, but the lighting could be better. |

The idea is sound, and although others may ding you for showing her face, I think you succeeded in not making her face the main focus. The shot's very dim, which complements the emotion and feel of the scene. But the low contrast just makes it hard to make out the details. Also, your title is a little too, well, emotionless. Instead of focusing on the pills, something like "Despair" or "Never Wake Up" would've captured the mood better. |

Very nice, looks so real, the picture being a little blurry really adds more, great job, 8. |

Do I think this image shows "Extreme Emotion": Somehwat. Semi-faceless, think you could have cropped her head out and used better lighting, looks grainy and out of focus (i.e. pills). 5 |

Your photo seems to have a soft touch to it which adds to the overall idea. |

I like the concept but don't think the expression fits.
The first I've seen to actually meet the challenge description quite well. |

Meets the challenge, but he lack of contrast-yellowish hue in the photo makes it dull to me. I realize it may be intentional. |
