OK, a little explanation. My "extreme" was to think of one of the worst things that could happen to a person. And that would be for it to be as if you never existed - to be totally forgotten.
I intentionally went for grainy (upped the film speed even though it was a dark spot on a rainy day), which apparently translated to "blurry" for some. I wasn't too happy that the tombstone was so blown out, but I thought it emphasized the "forgotten-ness" so didn't work too hard on fixing it.
Thanks for all the comments. And 3 10s, wow! |

A bit blown out, but a powerful message. Good find! |

No real subject implied who could be expressing extreme emotion. |

Composition is fine, and the leaves surrounding the marker really give the sense of a person forgotten. The light in the shot is a bit bright for my tastes--perhaps overexposed? I think that this kind of photo, especially to make the viewer think "forgotten" could use a little bit darker feel to it. |

I like the color effect, and the lighting. It makes me sad, but I don't see emotion in the image itself...still a high score from me. |

The highlights are way too blown out on this image. Also I see no emotion? |

The image is extremely washed out. Not much of a WOW factor. |
