Well, what am I going to tell you, Christian? You knew you were tempting DPC fate with razor-thin DOF and low lighting. The composition and DOF do strongly drive my eye right into the apple. :) I think I'd just like it better if there were more to find when it got there. I bet this would look great as a painting!

This is far lower than it should be. It's a pity I didn't vote, I would have given you an 8+. I would perhaps have preferred to see more of the foreground in focus. I love the tones, as well.

I really liked the tones with this shot. Very reminiscent of old still life paintings by the masters. Wonderful focus control.

The ubershallow depth of field is wonderful in this - serves the soft light well. Quite like it.

for my taste to much is blurred and out of focus ( i think 1/10 of the photograph is in focus) Do love the colors and toning very good atmosfere
