Kelli, my first question to you would be whether you intended to make it look like this. I agree with the commenter who said it was harsh editing, but if that was your goal, then I'll just congratulate you and move on. :)
For DPC scoring, though, you have to get rid of harsh reflections. Try putting a tissue in front of the flash or lights. Diffusers work best when they're close to the subject and the light is far enough behind them to light them up totally. I just saw a picture where the guy put a piece of tracing paper across a hanger and bent the wire into a stand.
Also, the background, at least on my calibrated CRT, is so dark as to almost disappear, with just enough detail visible to distract me a lot. I wonder whether even in processing you could correct that. Even a bit brighter would settle my eyes down. |

Perhaps a little harshly lit, the highlights have blown out pure white. Try a light tent to control and diffuse the light |
