this is heavily influenced by firsty of course .The dawn lights were pretty boring so I had to go b/w and I think I went a bit over the top with the toning.

Had to get up early to take Dad to the airport so he could go home and decided that it would be stupid to turn around and drive an hour back to the hills without trying to take some dawn photos in the city.
I originally headed to the war memorial but after 1 photo the automatic sensors decided that it was time to turn the lights off and all I had to take photos of was a big black lump of sandstone.
So I flew down to the harbour to get a series of photos of the good old opera house.
Except for dust spot removal all the editing was done in Lightroom - my new favourite program.

this has great tone, I would have cloned out the crane on the left, but it is still a great tribute.

One of the very best pics I've ever seen and I've seen lots. I have one by Robert Billington on my living room wall. Well deserved congratulations. I'd love to see the full size verion. Regards Bob 10!!!

I never cease to be awed by the beauty of this building on the water. This is a beautiful version of it!!! My only tiny nit pic is that since it was an advanced editing free study, maybe cloning out the construction equipment beside the building might have given just a little plus. But it is strikingly gorgeous just exactly like it is too!
