 the shots in this collection were taken between 2004 and 2007 during my stays in iceland.

this book by Nökkvi Elíasson inspired me for doing so.

i don't know how, but everytime i went inside one of those abandoned houses i could feel the live and soul of them beeing present at that moment...

this is an abondend school house in the westfjords of iceland, which is an area far far away from anything...;)
you should have seen it from inside, everything looked like it was 50 years ago.

Absolutely stunning. I think this project grew to have a life of its own. I love old abandoned buildings, I understand what you say about feeling the life and soul when inside.
