Jon
I did like this shot - and looking at the histogram of votes, so did many others. However, as others have stated, the levels seem to be off. I did a quick adjustment of bringing in the whites and modifying the greys and it sure did make a big difference in punch.
pm me you want to discuss

This IS a great shot. (I gave it a 6). You do a good job of putting the viewer right in the middle of things. It's amazing to see such a busy crowd moving along the tight space like this. It's excellent that you caught a guy who is drinking something and then that sign is in the back.
Do take up jdannels PM offer on getting instructions for using levels. (I use levels and brightness/contrast.) You'll love the difference you'll see in the pic. |

I must agree with some of the previous commenters: Great Title! Really though, great capture. The wonderful eye contact of the man is what grabs my attention and holds me here. Also, you seem to have really captured the pulse of this street... Leather Lane... sounds a bit creepy though. |

This is perhaps the most immersive photo in the challenge. Beyond being a picture of the street, it puts me in the street. And I can barely keep my head above it! Such energy! And your title allows a little ironic distance, like the perfect palate cleanser. 10 |

Very CIA like shoot "i have the subject going west no east," ok couldnt help it. i cannot tell if the tone cause this shot to go flat or if it is just in need of levels/curves adjustment, or if my monitor is wonky |

I might be dumb here but a little better photo shop here and you may have had a very good top notch image. Looks a little flat. I like the activity you captured here. Nice capture. |

I like the scene alot, especially the inclusion of the juice bar stand. But the image seems really dark, it has no whites in the photo. If you have a levels adjustment available in editing software, move the right slider which controls the highlights to the beginning of the histogram whichi should be over to the left. Just my opinion, if you like I would leave it but it would help the image I think. You can PM if you would like and I can show you. |

my eyes can not find a real focus. It's a tad too busy, IMO |

Nice capture - Like the busy scene but the PP has let this down - It's lacking any contrast and looks very flat and grey |

Great title. The shot seems a bit dull on my monitor tho. Think it could use a bump in contrast. Good luck! |

love the bustle of this place - but I think the photo needs much more contrast - I don't see whites - it is all a see of grey |

ROFL How funny. This makes me thik of an old still from a movie. no pure whites but sort of minimal dull tones. Kinda cool. |
