 I took the photo as a back up to my original target shot, which was unavailable the the time. I saw this dragon fly and literally followed it around for about an hour until I could get a clean shot. I would have prefered using a tripod on the shot, but had to settle for hand held with my Nikon D200 and a Sigma 70-300 mm macro setting.
In edit I cropped, applied adjust layers for color balance, contrast, hue, levels and then cropped again and finally unsharp mask.
I didn't set out to do a macro shot, but liked the results... I guess I just wanted to see if my assesment of the shot is at all valid. So far the scores are not very good, so I guess I'm not the best judge. I have thick skin and want to learn, so don't hold back. Thanks

Could have been a tad sharper and made use of a more interesting composition IMHO. 5
