shot on the 4th of july.

even if it doesn't do well, i'm proud i got at least a few good shots of the hummingbirds. . .which were more difficult and time consuming than i had thought.

teensy bit of crop, level adjusting and curves, sharpen, neat image, dodge and burn slightly, re-size, sharpen again, save for web.

interesting comosition. I like what you're attempting, but I want to see just a smidgen more of the hummingbird's wing. great bokeh

It looks like you might have had a very nice capture of a hummingbird. Your idea is nice but doesn't have much 'Wow' factor to me.

Good catch of the hummingbird but this photo is overshadowed by the other hummingbird photos in this challenge, which have the whole bird with a little more sharpness and color in the feathers.

I like the composition, but wish the bird was a little sharper. The red channel looks a little overexposed on the flower. Great bokeh though.

the cropping really does not work for me - I want to see the bird!!!

It does show distance but I would like to see the whole hummingbird in frame. Good bokeh.
