 Thought about this for a bit and since i couldn't come up with any marathon runners in the short time, decided to go with the king against king. I tried to use the laser and had some cool results but didn't think the voters would like em some decided to scrap that idea. Taken in RAW, converted to jpeg, adjusted brightness, contrast, USM, add border and save for the web.

Nice shot. Definitely signals triumph! The winner...since he is the one who triumphed... should be in perfect focus and clarity instead of the defeated King!

At first glance I didnt think much of this picture but after taking a second look at it I find myself enjoying it.

This is VERY nice. Your colors and lovely. Your detail and composition are very good. The textures of the stone in the chess board add interest as well as texture the the shot and the simples pieces are thus complimented. Very nice lighting.

Technically fine. Good composition, sharp detail, tonal range and all of it. I understand the idea behind the shot and personally it doesn't really express the fullness of theme of triumph to me which I interpret as being emotionally charged. I experience the picture as unemotional. Good shot none the less. 7 and good luck.

I like the brightness of this and the background colours but the image should be pin sharp all over and a small DOF has resulted in the top of the piece out of focus and rather distracting.
