My son ran after a group of seagulls huddling together to get them to fly for me while I took several shots.

PP: Cropped and straightened. Separated birds from rest of shot via layer to process differently. Both layers were adjusted with hue/sat, brightness/contrast, midtones and usm but with different levels and combinations. border neat image and resize.

I know gulls don't cooperate with photographers, this technique would look excellent if about 70% of the gulls below the horizon could have been cloned out. It is just too busy there.

I like the composition and motion in this scene. The processing seems a little strange to me though. Maybe too much sharpening or contrast enhancement.

The gulls are well placed within the frame however there is not enough contrast between them and the background. Also, the processing seems a bit over done.

I'm not sure I like the post processing on this. It seems overdone.
