He's not walking by, and he's not hidden. We're not seeing left to right motion blur, but the building sucking his essence into its core. Part of him is already missing, so it looks blurry, but we know the real story. I'm not going anywhere near that place! |

I too like the look of the shop. Rustic, has character to it. Can't you just imagine the tales that the shop owner could tell. :)
It takes a moment to figure where the theme comes in, but that is not bad, because then you linger for an extra moment, lost in time. |

Yeah, you're right - catching in front of that door does make him disappear quite a bit, but that's not altogether a bad thing. Makes you linger that much longer with the image, to take in all the details. |

I like this one a lot, particularly the slightly odd posture of the walker. |

Blending with the dark door adds a mysterious subtlety that I think I find quite interesting. |

at first i didnt see the guy .. it took me about a second and i was wondering where the blur was !! .. then i saw him .. EXCELLENT .. i particularly like an image where things are revealed gradually .. the not immediately obvious .. so i really like how he's 'hidden' by the dark doorway behind him .. :) |

I would have liked him just coming into the frame on the left, maybe so we could see only half of him :) When doing these type of shots I normally keep taking shots as the people are walking through the frame. |

It might have been interesting with the guy further along, but having him partially hidden is kinda cool on it's own. You take in the building first, then discover the guy walking by. He adds a spark of life that indicates the building is still in the here and now. |
