The terminology we all use is so strange, yet it's so easily glossed over. "Multiplied his face a little". Well of course you did, that's what you do with overexposed areas. But multiplying a face? No non-photographer would have any idea what we were talking about, and it doesn't sound very pleasant. Takes the objectification of artistic subjects to a different, a somewhat hidden, level. Oh, about the image: The blur here, and overall feel, work well for me; striking in a very calm, natural sort of way.

Hmmm, I'm not sure, but something just doesn't sit right with me. Don't know what it is though. The young boy looking up, as if hearing something is good, but the rest of it, just don't know. I'll come back to it in couple of days, see if I see it differently.

the little dab of orange on his shorts act as good anchor for evrything else seemingly goin gon around him. I like hi splacement in the frame too.

Cool effect baby (lens baby that is!) :)

I love it.

I've just got a lensbaby myself. Still need to learn what I'm doing with it. I can't see myself producing anything this quality for a long long time - if ever.

A lensbaby baby... I really like images where the one important element is focused and the rest is not... seems to me Keith Carter is all about that, and so this works for me. Also, inverting the focus area here would be a really weird and interesting effect (not sure how that would be done with the lensbaby).

Lens baby's gotta love 'em! I want one!! Very cool shot, the blur really makes this very surreal, very nice.

yes, the blur really accentuates that gorgeous child ... love his expression, that beautiful blue eye and the dappled sunlight ..:)...

I think maybe I need one of those lensbaby things. I really like the smushed color it creates in the blurred areas.

Sweet - crisp focus on the middle of the face really draws the eye.

Ooohhh the Lensbaby, lovely. His skin is just so perfect but for some reason I'd like to see it in B&W, I think it's the orange that's taking my eye away from his face. Cute shot tho.
