 Set the camera to F/13 and 2s, ISO 100. Focus on the car in front of you. Wait for the green light and press the shutter. Wait for the shutter to close knowing that the guy behind you isn't happy waiting.

Mix with a healthy dose of USM (yes, USM in a blur shot) at crazy high radius and amount to ramp up the contrast.

I like the way this turned out. My goal was to evoke a sense of speed, of suddenly screaming away into the night, to the point that lights blur and your sense of reality leaves you.

I like it. I think. :)

Nice shot Jeffery, very colorful and intense!! For me (just my opinion...) I think of blur as a dream sequence, a surreal scene to be disected and scrutinized...something not of ordinary reality. Emotional and personal, not a critazism so much as an alternative POV.

I thought "speed" when I saw this myself. I love the vibrant color and light trails. :)

YAY - this is my kind of shot. I'm trying to figure out the car. If it were older, it might be a 56 T-bird. Hmmmm Razzle dazzle, Jeff. This is a GOOD ONE.
