I took a cab home from work and ended up at 10th and Walnut in Philly. I just stood on the corner and shot with the long lens on hand held...maybe a little bracing on a post box? Not sure. Anyway I saw this man across the intersection in a powered wheel chair talking on a cell phone, if you can possibly discern that through the blur, as he was about to cross over 10th St.

I really like the softness of this image. To me the missing cellphone is unimportant. I love the idea of shooting people as forms rather than individuals and thus making them anonymous. I've never thought of doing it this way before. I will certainly give it a try.

emotive for sure. wonderful blur. For me, the blur makes it look like he was speeeeeeding across 10th street.

I think an excellent piece of candid work. Compassionate, expressive view.
It makes some obvious comparison to painter Francis Bacon and also I think of an obscure comparison to Arshile Gorky a painter who was known to use soft focus box camera snapshots as ref for several of his expressionist human forms.

Like this for the story it tells. The blur make the forms more important than the detail And I love how you caught her looking at you along with staring forward. Nice.
