This was all my wife's idea. I have to give credit where credit is due. I was talking about using an old Gameboy and tearing it apart and doing the same thing, when she mentioned the old Etch-A-Sketch. I used to love using this thing. Although the only thing I could ever really make was a stair case. I Googled some images and some of the things people came up with, are out of this world. Some serious effort into some of those sketches. I always thought it would be cool to make some sort of sketch 3D or give it the "Out of the Box" look. This challenge gave me the perfect opportunity.
Couldn't find my old one, so bought a new one at Toys-R-Us. Cut just the top off. Used a black posterboard to tape the top of the Etcha too. Tried it without the posterboard but it didn't have the same appeal. Had my lil friend Riley act liking he was drawing the flower that was in my father-in-laws pond. Took about 10 shots and got what I saw in my head. Hope everyone likes the shot.

Cool idea. I like it because it looks like the person sketched a real flower. Colors and lighting are great. |
