For the "sharpless" side challenge.

Instead of a moving subject or moving camera, this time I was able to get a "sharpless" image by focusing on an object that isn't sharp to begin with. Actually, close inspection will show that the individual fibers were captured crisply.

This is the underside of a curved fiberglass shelter over a picnic table, with the backlighting from the sun as it begins to emerge from the morning haze. Same roofs are used for bus stop shelters around town. It reminds me of the rings of Saturn or an odd rainbow.

Makes for a nice abstract, with the variation of colors scattered throughout the otherwise symmetrical arrangement. Good eye to see the image-worthiness of this!

Would've worked well for puzzle macro. :)

great abstract, and way to find a creative way to show sharplessness

My first impression was that it was a macro of threads, a crescent stairway from above, or inside a culvert pipe. Maybe it is a rainbow in B&W? If you hadn't told us what it was, I would have never guessed. I don't really know what to say about it. The scene does not seem to have a subject in it, although the entire frame is the subject. it's a very odd image.
